Value(able) Chain

Value(able) Chain

Notes from the field:

  • We spoke with farmers; they want digital applications—even AI support (13%).
  • We observed potential customers in-store who wanted more information about the technical specifications of sports shoes (35%).
  • AI is needed to support the sales team in-store during peak customer traffic—especially in stores where products have a story, such as jewelry.
  • Why a “crossover” furniture model is necessary for Gulf countries: neither strictly formal “protocol” furniture nor furniture that lacks even a casual aesthetic.
  • How would improving webbing (elastic straps) and wooden frames impact the user experience and our communication with them?
  • The potential for ideas and markets regarding Halal gelatin is vast...

These insights come from both customers (users) and the production, sales, and marketing departments of companies. Some are tacit knowledge, while others are semi-tacit.

Last week, yet another client told us, “Our processes are slowing us down,” rather than, “We have processes, and they work well.”

Classic BPM (Business Process Management) is static. It maps and documents processes, then shelves them.

The AI-Powered BPM 2.0 Value(able) Chain is a more effective, logical, and actionable model. We combine three elements:

1. We identify customer needs using the Delphi method and other research techniques; we surface the team's tacit knowledge through workshops.
2. We discover new value areas while reducing costs using the Blue Ocean ERRC framework.

3. We use AI to transform the process into a living, self-improving structure. Sometimes, AI even becomes the business model itself.
